What I am doing at Novasoft!

My name is Manuel Hahn and I am working for “Deutsche Telekom” in Cologne as a trainee in IT-System-Electronics. Now I tell you something about Novasoft in Málaga. The company was founded in 1993. At that time, Novasoft ingenieria started its work in the Health sector to develop the first medical record in Primary Healthcare with the help of Windows. Nowadays, about 600 employees work in several other fields as well. Novasoft administrates Softfood´s, wireless communication services and the design of photovoltaic installations. Furthermore, it produces and hosts web-applications among several other tasks.

My task at Novasoft is to administer PCs, for example by installing Windows systems in different languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese) and configuring them. Moreover, I install Windows Updates and drivers for network printers and other hardware. If one of my colleagues has a problem I try to repair the hardware of the PC with special regard to the possible electrical discharge. Another part of my job is to support my colleagues by using Microsoft Office in English and in Spanish to create excel sheets, for instance.
